Gerber/Hart Library & Archives relies on volunteers to help fulfill its mission and is always looking for individuals who wish to donate their time and talent to the library. Volunteers primarily provide general library and archives support by helping to process and record donations and collection holdings, assist patrons in the use of the library, and helping with exhibits. There are also needs for people with library, archives, and information technology training and experience.
**Please note: as of August 2024, we have reached capacity for volunteers and are pausing new volunteer orientations. You may still complete a form, but please know that new volunteer orientations will not happen until 2025 and/or when staff have capacity to train new volunteers. We will reach out to you when we resume orientations, but know that it may be at minimum a 4-6+ months wait. Gerber/Hart is incredibly thankful for our volunteers and the support of the community. Pleace check our website for additional opportunities to get involved: we are always looking for new books for our library and connections for archival donations, and any funding opportunities to sustain our programming and operations. If you have any questions, please message info@gerberhart.org.**
