Undead and Queer – Double Feature Film Screening and special queer horror exhibit at FACETS!

Sink your teeth into the throbbing vein of queer vampire films!

Friday, October 28, 2022, FACETS explores the queerest of all horror subgenres, the vampire film, with DAUGHTERS OF DARKNESS (1971) and THE HUNGER (1983), while also spotlighting two luminous French actors, Delphine Seyrig and Catherine Deneuve.

This event is made possible by Howard Brown Health & was programmed by John McDevitt in partnership with Bucket O’ Blood Books & Records. FACETS is partnering with Gerber/Hart Library and Archives to bring you a special exhibit of vintage horror erotica from the Gerber/Hart collection. This one-night exhibit will be in the FACETS Lobby from 5:00pm to 11:00pm.

Gerber/Hart has resumed its regular hours of operation for walk-in patrons and for viewing exhibits.

Gerber/Hart is located in the Howard Brown Health Clark building, which is a healthcare facility. Face masks are required to enter the building, in Howard Brown spaces, and common spaces like the hallways and bathrooms. Face masks are optional in Gerber/Hart spaces.

You do not need to make an appointment to browse the library collection or view exhibits. It is helpful for researchers (those making use of archives collections, periodicals, or items from Special Collections and making use of a researcher's table) to let us know ahead of time that they will be coming to do research (please email info@gerberhart.org)
