Hire Trans Now, the flagship mental health justice campaign of Chicago Therapy Collective, combats employment discrimination and provides free resources to small-businesses in Chicago so that our city’s neighborhoods can be a safe haven for trans and non-binary communities. The program effectively reduces employers’ implicit and/or explicit anti-trans biases through relationship building, educational support, and achievable accountability measures. These efforts build welcoming and equitable businesses and neighborhoods for trans and non-binary job seekers, employees, and customers.

The Gerber/Hart Library and Archives, founded in 1981, is the largest circulating library of gay and lesbian titles in the Midwestern United States. Located in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood, it houses over 14,000 volumes, 800 periodical titles, and 100 archival collections. Gerber/Hart Library and Archives seeks to collect, preserve, and make accessible the history and culture of LGBTQ+ communities in Chicago and the Midwest in order to advance the larger goal of achieving justice and equality.
